At the dawn the Sun slowly removes
The darkish cover that fully envelopes
The sleeping Earth, to savour her beauty,
But he finds another cover that is misty!
Undettered, he dissolves the soft mist
With his sharp rays, that is equally soft,
Warm and reddish, and with his loving
Aarms, embraces Earth who is blushing!
The Sun frees himself and, a while after,
Drapes his love with a new golden cover
And moves on to sky's heights, in mirth,
Reminiscing the virgin beauty of earth!
He looks down from the sky's zenith,
Feels the golden cover he put on the earth
May get soon melted due to his own heat
And coveres her with a drape of white
He, slowly treads to the western horizon
And creates a magic on the sky in unison With clouds, his rays and the sea below,
A myriad of colours and even a rain bow!
At twilight the scenic, magic atmosphere
Is hijaked, by the full moon and the vesper,
And throughout the milky moonlit night
The moon and stars host a feast of light
And shade to the myriad atmosphere,
That they had hijaked from the nature
And just before the onset of the dawn
Leaves her for the Sun to behold at dawn

The lasting splendour and myriad views
That we see in the nature is so gorgeous,
Created by the acts of the clouds, the sun,
The earth, sea, the stars and the moon!

ശ്യാമപ്പുതപ്പു
പതിയെ മാറ്റീയർക്കൻ
ഭൗമസൗന്ദര്യം
നുകരാൻ വെളുപ്പിനു
നോക്കവേ കാണ്മതോ
ധവളാഭയോലും
നീഹാരപടലം
പുതച്ച് ധരിത്രിയെ
മെല്ലവേയൂഷ്മള-
മായ കരങ്ങളാൽ
മഞ്ഞിൻ പുതപ്പലി-
യിച്ചു മാറ്റീട്ടർക്കൻ
അരുണാഭയോലും
കിരണങ്ങളാലേ
പരിരംഭണത്തിൽ
ഒതുക്കീ ധരയെ
ധരയെ ഉഷസ്സിൽ
ആലിംഗനം ചെയ്തി-
ട്ടൊരു പൊന്നിൻ പട്ടു
പുതപ്പിച്ച ശേഷം
അരുണനുയര
ത്തിലേക്ക് ഗമിക്കവേ
'ധരയെത്രസുന്ദരി'
എന്നോർത്തു പോയി!
ദിനകരൻ മദ്ധ്യാഹ്ന
വേളയിൽ നോക്കേ
തന്നുടെ ചൂടിനാൽ
ധരിത്രി ചൂടീടും
പൊന്നിൻപുടവ
ഉരുകുമെന്നു കണ്ടു
പകരം ധവള-
പ്പുടവയാൽ മൂടി.
പശ്ചിമചക്രവാ-
ളത്തിലെത്തേ ദിന-
പതിതൻ രശ്മിയു-
മഭ്രവുമാഴിയും
ഒരുമിച്ചൊരുക്കും
അരുണാഭമയമാം
ഒരുസന്ധ്യ, ഒപ്പം
ഒരു മാരിവില്ലും
സിന്തൂര സന്ധ്യയ്ക്ക്
അകമ്പടിയായ് വന്നു
ചന്തിരനും താരക-
പ്പരിവാരവും
രാവിന്റെ പാലൊളി-
ച്ചോലയിൽ ആറാടി-
ച്ചവളെ വെളുപ്പി-
നേൽപ്പിച്ചു ദിനേശന്
ശ്യാമപ്പുതപ്പു
പതിയെ മാറ്റീയർക്കൻ
ഭൗമസൗന്ദര്യം
നുകരാൻ വെളുപ്പിനു
നോക്കവേ കാണ്മതോ
ധവളാഭയാർന്ന
നീഹാരപടലം
പുതച്ച് ധരിത്രിയെ

സൂര്യ, ധര, താര,
ചന്ദ്രന്മാരൊക്കെയും
ഒരുമിച്ച് കാട്ടുന്ന
ലീലാവിലാസങ്ങൾ
പ്രകൃതിയ്ക്കഭൗമ
സൗന്ദര്യം പകരും
പ്രജകൾക്കോ കണ്ണി-
ന്നമൃതം പകരും!
